This is the first part of a two-course sequence on electromagnetism, aimed at familiarizing students with basic electromagnetic phenomena. The course begins with vector analysis (vector algebra, differential/integral calculus, curvilinear coordinates) before covering electrostatics, including electric fields, potential, work and energy, and conductors. It then covers Laplace's and Poisson's equations, boundary value problems, and dielectric media, before concluding with magnetostatics and magnetic fields in matter.
